Account access

Sign in with email or a passkey

Sign in to the Console, set up a login passkey, and keep email magic links as an alternative.
Product source reviewed: 21 October 2026

Sign in with email

Consumers and businesses may apply for the beta. Each account needs manual approval before platform access. Signing in or accepting the Terms does not bypass approval. When asked, review the current Terms and tick the unchecked agreement box to continue; a new effective version requires acceptance again. The Privacy Notice explains account, transaction and security information. You can download the current legal documents from their pages.

Open the Console and select Sign In. Enter the email address associated with your ComputeCubed account, submit the form, and follow the sign-in link sent to that mailbox. The link is single-use and expires after ten minutes. Request a new link if it has expired or was already used.

Email magic links remain available after you set up a passkey. Keep access to your account mailbox so you can sign in when your passkey is unavailable.

Set up a login passkey

  1. Sign in to the Console with an email magic link.
  2. Open Account from the header and find Sign-in.
  3. Select Set up login passkey. The identity service opens its setup flow in the same tab.
  4. Follow your browser or device's passkey creation prompt. Complete the requested device PIN, biometric check, or security-key verification.
  5. After successful setup, you return to the Console's Account page with your existing session.

Setup requires a signed-in identity session and a discoverable passkey that supports user verification. You can use a compatible device or security key; available choices depend on your browser and authenticator. Access to the identity service's application portal or user-settings page is not required.

Sign in with a passkey

Open the Console, select Sign In, then choose Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page. You do not need to enter your email first. Choose your registered passkey and complete the device's verification prompt. After verification, you return to the Console.

This method does not send a sign-in email. If you cancel the prompt or cannot use a registered passkey, return to the email sign-in page and request a magic link. Cancelling a passkey prompt does not automatically send one.

View or remove a login passkey

Open Account → Sign-in to see whether passkey login is set up and view your registered passkeys and security keys. The setup option stays available so you can add another compatible device.

To unregister one, select Remove next to it and confirm Remove passkey. The registered credential stops working for ComputeCubed and other applications using the same identity service. Email magic-link login remains available. Removing it here does not delete the saved entry from your device or password manager; you can remove that entry separately using your device's settings.

If the status cannot be loaded, retry rather than assuming a passkey is missing.

Account access and troubleshooting

Both methods sign in to the same account. A passkey does not change your provider/renter role, grant administrator access, bypass account approval, or replace acceptance of the current Terms. Your rentals, balances, and SSH keys stay associated with that account.

SymptomWhat to do
No usable passkey appearsUse email login, then set up a login passkey from Account on a compatible device.
Passkey verification is cancelled or failsRetry the device prompt or return to email login.
The email link has expired or was already usedRequest a fresh sign-in link.
The Console says the sign-in attempt expired after 10 minutesReturn to the Console, select Sign In again, and finish the new attempt promptly. A fresh email link does not restart an older Console attempt.
Setup asks you to sign in againStart a fresh email sign-in, then retry setup from Account.
Sign-in succeeds but access is deniedCheck account approval and the message shown in the Console; a passkey does not bypass access restrictions.

Treat passkeys and mailbox access as account credentials. Never share an email sign-in link. Your login passkey is separate from the SSH keys used to connect to a rented workspace; see workspace rentals.
